THE Community Choice band for this year’s Folk and Boat Festival has been announced as Thrill Collins.
Members of the public voted for their favourite band from last year and now the three-piece band will play on the Live Stage on Sunday, June 21.
Dave Thompson said: “I came up with a shortlist of six bands that got the best reaction last year and they got the most votes by far.
“The reaction last year for Thrill Collins was massive and people kept coming up to me afterwards saying ‘you must get them back.’
“I just wanted the community to have some input and that way we are putting bands on that they want to see rather it being just my decision.”
Thrill Collins is the first band to be announced for this year’s 25-year anniversary Folk and Boat Festival with the rest of the line-up expected to be announced next week.
