WORK is currently ongoing to repair a canal bank in Middlewich were multiple sections of concrete coping have collapsed.
The Canal and River Trust are carrying out the rebuilding work on the wall of the Trent and Mersey Canal near to the Kings Lock Inn.
The Trust is planning to repair two more wash wall collapses on the same section of canal once the current work is completed.
A spokesperson from The Canal and River Trust, said: “We are working above the Kings Lock pub to repair two sections of concrete coping that have fallen into the canal and another section that is about to fall in.
“Once completed The Canal & River Trust is planning to repair a further two more wash wall collapses a long Booth Lane.”
The section of canal in Middlewich has been problematic in the past with similar rebuilding work having to be done in 2012.
The work is not currently stopping any boats from passing on the canal.
