THE Middlewich Clean Team rounded off a successful year of keeping the town looking its best with their last litter pick of 2014.

The group of 13 volunteers gathered at the Town Bridge car park on Saturday, December 13, and included the Middlewich MP Fiona Bruce.

Fiona Bruce said: “It’s a privilege to be a part of Middlewich Clean Team and its amazing the difference you can make to the town in just one hour.

“This group of volunteers are a big part in what puts Middlewich among the top places to live in the country and it’s a fun way to make great new friends.”

The group worked for one hour picking up litter around the town and are proud of their efforts in keeping the town tidy.

Janet Chisholm, Clean Team founder, added: “Thirteen man hours was worked on Saturday which we feel it is making a considerable difference to the overall tidiness of our town. We met up with friends chatted and had fun.

“Fiona has been a member of Middlewich Clean Team for many years and it is always delightful to welcome her when her busy schedule allows.

“We are always looking new members who could commit to looking after their street or around their home.”
