MORRIS Homes’ new 194-home development off Warmingham Lane is now open and has begun selling properties.

The Oakwood View site holds a variety of sizes from one to five-bedroom properties and the initial phase includes 48 that are now complete.

The homes that are now up for sale are priced £192,750 or £154,200 with the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.

Chris Minshall, regional sales director at Morris Homes, said: “Oakwood View gives buyers in Middlewich the opportunity to live in a quality new home in a sought after area, with great access to local shops and amenities.

“The range of properties at the development are ideal for both first time buyers and growing families and are available with the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, which is great for buyers who are struggling to raise a typical deposit.

“We’ve already had a lot of interest in the site, with the first two properties snapped up within a week of it opening, so we would urge those interested to speak to our experienced sales team to find out how to reserve their dream home now.”

The Oakwood View site came has come under some criticism since planning permission was granted with Cheshire East Councillor Mike Parsons saying that the town’s infrastructure would not cope with 194 new homes off Warmingham Lane.

Clr Parsons, ward member for Middlewich at Cheshire East Council, said in January: “The whole infrastructure with schools, surgeries and dentists will not cope, it all becomes an issue and this has to be taken very seriously.”
