PUPILS of Middlewich High were given top praise after the school’s Careers Fair went down a treat with visitors.

The event focused on advising pupils between years nine and 11 with colleges including Sir John Deane’s, South Cheshire, Reaseheath and Mid Cheshire College attending.

As well as the college’s which will be the next destination for many of the pupils, the event also saw visits from Chester and Manchester Metropolitan Universities as well as apprenticeship providers such as the Army and Barclays Bank, who offer technology apprenticeships based at Radbroke Hall in Knutsford.

All of the organisations commented on the politeness of the pupils who helped guide guests to the venue during the Careers Fair event.

Mploy provided guidance about a variety of training programmes and were impressed by the enthusiasm of the pupils.

Helen Oakes, from Mploy, said: “Many thanks to Middlewich High for inviting us, we had a lot of young people really interested in apprenticeships and I found them all to be well behaved and confident to talk about their future plans.”
