WITH police forces around the country traditionally coming under heat during Halloween and Bonfire night, Middlewich Police Team were pleasantly surprised to have a quiet time this year.
Sgt Mike Beamish of Middlewich Police has praised his officers and says the team’s excess planning proved to defuse any unwanted fireworks over the last week.
Sgt Beamish said: “We had an operation running over Halloween and Bonfire night and we did really well.
“There were no major incidents, which is unusual over those two nights but I think it’s down to the fact that we did a lot of planning prior to it and got a lot of officers in place.
“As well as that we put a lot of information out on twitter which I think really helped us.”
