A GROUP of creative people in Middlewich have joined forces and will display their work at the Makers Market on Saturday.

The Middlewich Creative group formed in August when several painters, photographers and craft-makers met on Facebook and decided to offer each other support.

The group now has plans to come together and sell their arts and crafts and are looking forward to holding their first stall at the market.

Ian Hill-Smith, who was one of the original founders of the group, said: “We had a conversation on Facebook after somebody asked what kind of shops people would like to see on Wheelock Street.

“We all started talking as like-minded people and thought it would be great to have a creative crafts shop in Middlewich.”

The group will be setting up camp at the Markers Market but have plans to move into a shop in Middlewich in the future.

Ian said: “Ideally we will have something a bit more permanent like a workshop somewhere in Middlewich.

“Anybody that wants to contribute to what we are doing is welcome.

“The group is open to anybody but from a retail point of view, we want it to be local, original and individual.”
