CLEDFORD Primary School has entered the new school year on a high after a successful Ofsted report.

The Ofsted report, which took place before the end of the last school year in June, saw the school given a ‘good’ overall rating.

Inspectors also judged the school’s behaviour and safety as well as leadership and management ‘outstanding’.

The Ofsted report stated: “Teaching is of a consistently good standard throughout the school and sometimes outstanding.

“Pupils say that they learn something new every day and that their teachers help them a lot.

“Pupils feel extremely safe and well cared for in school and they have excellent attitudes to learning and behave exceptionally well.

“Pupils learn well because the variety of resources and methods used make activities lively and interesting.

“They are attentive in lessons, have the greatest respect for their teachers and are always willing to test their ideas with others and help each other out.”

Cledford Primary will be holding an open day on Thursday, November 6, between 9.15pm and 2.15 when parents and prospective parents are welcome.
