MIDDLEWICH-based Pochin Construction Ltd has welcomed seven new members of staff and promoted three of its existing team.

The decision has been made in order to support increasing demand for its services across planning, project management, quantity surveying and site management.

Andy Newby joins as senior site manager, while Jamie Heptonstall has been appointed planning manager and Chris Mawdsley has joined as senior quantity surveyor.

Stephen Roberts and Keith Chapman have both come on board as project managers.

Also joining are Willem Landman as trainee assistant site manager, and John Williams as general operative.

The recruitment of new members of staff is in line with Pochin’s planned expansion in 2014 and is likely to continue over the coming months due to a number of new projects on the horizon for the business.

Iain Grant has been promoted to contracts manager, and recently received a ‘Long Service’ award following 21 years with the company. Richard Bartley was also promoted to contracts manager and Ben Edwards has been promoted to project manager.

Jonathan Pochin, managing director at Pochin Construction, said: “We are pleased to be bolstering an already remarkable team with the recruitment of some very talented individuals. Our new members of staff all have a great deal of experience, and we look forward to the insight they will bring to their roles at Pochin.

“We are also proud of the development in our team, as Iain, Richard and Ben all assume new roles after years of hard work with the company.

"Between them they have delivered some of Pochin’s most iconic projects, and the recognition of their work for us is well deserved. The recent changes have helped us put a strong team in place, which looks set to grow further and deliver more great projects throughout the year.”
