THE family of a teenager killed in a car accident in Stanthorne have thanked friends, family and well wishers for their heartfelt tributes during the past week.

Former Middlewich High School pupil Connor Hull died when the car he was driving left the A54 Middlewich Road in Stanthorne on Saturday, January 11.

Emergency services found the 17-year-old’s black Vauxhall Corsa in a ditch near to the junction with Birch Lane, at 11.50pm.

He was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Dozens of people visited the spot where Connor crashed, laying flowers and leaving compassionate messages across social media sites.

In a statement, his mother Nicola said: “We would like to thank all his friends, and our friends and family for the lovely tributes paid to him following his sad death last weekend.

“It has become obvious to us that Connor had many, many friends, and their tributes have given us great comfort.

“He was our much loved son, and elder brother to Amy, Laura, Owen and Indy Joe.”

Connor was born in Coventry but lived in Winsford the majority of his life, attending Leaf Lane Infant School, then Over Hall Junior School and Woodford Lodge High School for a year, before moving to Middlewich High School until he left in 2012.

He started an apprenticeship with Thomas Hardie Volvo in Middlewich as a heavy goods mechanic, and attended Stephenson College in Leicestershire as part of his training.

His mother added: “He loved his job and the people he worked with.

“He was a usual teenage boy, looking forward to his upcoming 18th birthday and finding his feet.

“He was also a regular visitor to Dave’s gym and was still in touch with many of his old school pals.

“They would meet up regularly for get-togethers.”

Connor died three weeks before his 18th birthday.
