A NEW access road into the retirement village Kinderton Park is set to be built 35 metres from the current access.

Planning permission to build a new road into to the site was granted in 2008 but expired.

The planning application was resubmitted in February and has been approved by Cheshire East Council planning officers.

The road will be built as an access to the warden’s bungalow and the main entrance next to it will continue to be used for access to the rest of the site.

Planning officer Robert Law said in his report: “The application is effectively the same as before and as there have not been any major relevant policy changes the principle of the proposal is still considered to be acceptable.

“The access would be sited approximately 35m to the south of the existing access which serves both the bungalow and the mobile home park.

“It is not considered that the development would have significant detrimental impact upon the visual amenities neither of the area nor upon the living conditions of adjacent occupiers.”
